The long waited event is finally here. The weekend I've been waiting for all season for–is here. 3 days of full attention to NBA inside scoops, dunking, rookie watching, heavy 3 point making, celebrity watching, and more surprises–BOOK OFF WORK. First and foremost, the DUNK contest. Who would've known Terrence Ross (Raptors) would be attending his second year? I guess you gotta win it from him if you really got what it takes. One surprise for me is that small forward Gerald Green is not in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. This year he has had so many Epic dunks during season games but I'm not mad at this line up since Lillard, PG and John Wall are competing. The Sprite Slam Dunk begins on Saturday, Feb. 15 (4th event) at 8 p.m. ET. Here is the full line up >>>>>>
The Foot Locker Three-Point Contest also happens on Saturday. Kyrie Irving participates again to hold up the title for more 3 pointers made in this event. Seeing Kevin Love and Stephen Curry in the line up makes Kyrie Irving irrelevant to me. Here are your Foot Locker Three-Point Contest Participants.
EASTERN CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS > Arron Afflalo, Orlando > Bradley Beal, Washington > Kyrie Irving, Cleveland > Joe Johnson, Brooklyn
WESTERN CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS > Marco Belinelli, San Antonio > Stephen Curry, Golden State > Damian Lillard, Portland > Kevin Love, Minnesota
Then Sunday comes with the Best of the Best. The 63rd NBA All-Star game tips off at 7 p.m. ET. Don't miss it. But if you do, record it. Seeing LeBron James fire up a contested 3-Pointer at the buzzer to win the game against Golden State before the All-Star break makes me think East will win it now. But who knows. Peep the Starters and Reserves.
